How to play

Five gems are buried in a mine 10 cells wide and 8 tall. Send waves through the ground, read what comes back, and work out where each gem lies. There’s one new mine a day.

Send waves

Tap any number or letter around the mine. You learn where the wave comes out and its color, but you never see its path.

A flat edge sends the wave straight back the way it came.
A slanted edge turns the wave 90 degrees.
Several gems mix their colors. This wave comes back orange.

Read the colors

A wave starts transparent and takes on every gem color it touches. The order doesn’t matter, and touching a color twice counts once.

One gem

  • Red
  • Yellow
  • Blue
  • White

Two colors

  • Orange
  • Purple
  • Green

With white

  • Pink
  • Lemon
  • Sky blue

Three colors or more

  • Light orange
  • Light purple
  • Light green
  • Black
  • Gray

Place the gems

Corners can meet. Gems sit on the grid and can be rotated.
Edges can’t touch. No gem is ever fully hidden behind others either.
The red gem flips. Check which way it leans.

Solve it

  • Drag a gem onto the mine, or off it to put it back.
  • Tap a gem to select it, and again to rotate it.
  • R rotates and F flips, even mid-drag.
  • Tap an empty cell to cross it out.

With all five placed, check your solution. You get one check a day. A correct layout extends your streak. A wrong one resets it to 0, and so does skipping a day.
